Today we pray for the national businesses and government contractors that contribute to our economy. Lord, you are a God who works, creating microbes and galaxies, and everything in between. You are constantly at work, upholding the universe by the word of your power, giving and sustaining life, and finding delight in your work. As your image bearers, we are likewise made to work, even working unto you and not simply for a paycheck. We pray for the many national businesses and contractors located in Arlington or have employees here, that they may flourish. May they treat their employees and clients equitably and honorably, and may they provide our country with the necessary goods and services in order to thrive. And may they flourish as they connect more closely to you, others, themselves and your creation. Amen.
