Today we pray for the patients, medical staff and administrators at Virginia Hospital Center and the many Urgent Care clinics throughout Arlington. Lord, as our Creator you have “fearfully and wonderfully made” us, intimately knowing every fiber of our being. You are the Great Physician, who miraculously healed the blind, the lame, the leper and the sick when you walked the earth. We pray for your image bearers who suffer physically today, that you would heal not only their bodies but their minds and spirit as well. We pray for your image bearers who serve as medical staff and caregivers, that you would give them wisdom, skill and compassion, as they treat patients as people, and not simply as cases. May they flourish as they connect more closely to you, others, themselves and your creation. Amen.
