Today we pray for the members of the Arlington County Board. Lord, you are the King of the universe, who rules and reigns with perfect justice, wisdom and strength. All authority in heaven and earth come from you, including the power and authority of our county government. We thank you for your image bearers who serve as members of the County Board, overseeing the difficult decisions related to policy, land use, finances and well being. Give them wisdom in deciding between competing agendas and solutions, with finite resources and time. May they help Arlington be a place of flourishing. And may they flourish as they connect more closely to you, others, themselves and your creation. Amen.
