Today we pray for the various music venues and festivals in Arlington, and the musicians and technicians who live here. Lord, the Scriptures tell us you created music and inspired musicians, enabling them to create and perform. The Bible, your inspired Word, is full of songs of praise, thanksgiving and lament, that help give us words and emotions to what is happening in our hearts. We pray for your image bearers who are musicians or enable us to enjoy music, in all its wonderfully eclectic forms. It can be difficult to make a living as a musician, so we ask you to enable the artists, technicians and venues to thrive, that Arlington would be a more vibrant community because of them. May they flourish as they connect more closely to you, others, themselves and the created order. Amen.
